Temptation city.
The urban megalopolis, regardless of country and culture, was designed to be segregated. The cities are not segregated only based on demography but also in terms of program allocation as well. The phenomenon prompted the use of repetitive and modular approaches in the construction of our infrastructure. Accommodations are situated on the street level to reach much larger audiences, while residential areas are positioned within the upper layers of the city. Following the COVID and emerging era of digital nomads, cities that were designed with centralized accommodation are not ideal to face the challenges ahead.
Decentralized accommodation allows the creation of desirable proximity of each residential unit to the commercial area. In this city, whenever we open the door and leave our house, we will no longer experience claustrophobic corridors but the temptation of diverse accommodation like we do when we walk through the street or avenue. The goal of this project is to create a sub-divided community to compress excessive density on the street level by distributing the accommodation. Each layer of the city will have distinct neighbourhood characteristics and dispose of the traditional idea of a typical and repetitive plan.
